Paint Chip Fun!

Hey everyone!

I absolutely love using paint chips. Did you know I help once a month at my friend's hardware store? Well when they switched to a new brand of paint, I asked what they were going to do with the old samples. She said she was going to toss them except keep a few for herself for some Pinterest stuff. Well guess who ended up with the about 1,000 paint chip strips? This girl!

You can do so many things in the class with them! Arts and crafts, math, reading, science, etc!

For literacy, you can differentiate what students are working on. Kids can choose the colors and how many boxes they need on their paint card.

On this one I have a few examples of how students can manipulate the paint chip cards. Cutting for contractions, is one example. Or creating words (or separating them too). Very visual!  The bottom right shows synonyms for a word.

This example shows a bookmark with my name, gift tag, True/False and multiple choice answers, holiday paint chips, and the bottom right is math.

What ideas do you have for paint chips?
