Jamie {2nd Grade Stuff}

Hello all!  I am Jamie from 2nd Grade Stuff.

I am so excited and honored to be a part of such an awesome group of bloggers coming together to share 2nd and 3rd grade tips, tools, products, and freebies!  This little blog is going to be so much fun!  :) Well, let me tell you a little bit about my professional side.  I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2003, my Master's degree in 2009, and my Rank 1 Certification with a Gifted Endorsement and Math Specialist Endorsement in 2012.  As you can tell, I LOVE to learn!  This will be my 10th year teaching.  I teach 2nd grade and couldn't imagine a better age.  I do have experience teaching in 3rd and 4th grades, but my heart found its home 8 years ago in 2nd grade and I've been here ever since.  I also teach at the university level as well, so I get the best of both worlds -  7-8 year olds, as well as aspiring teachers.  It can't get much better than that!  I love my job and while I really enjoy my summers, I am super excited to start back to school in August! Now on to the personal side of me!  I am a Christian, wife, and mother.  Our little family of 3 loves Jesus, spending time outdoors, reading, watching movies, and the two adults enjoy some reality TV every now and then!  I love everything Mac and am slightly addicted to all forms of electronics.  I'm not sure what I would do without my iPad.  I hate to clean my house (my classroom is always MUCH cleaner than my home), I seriously can't cook, and our laundry stays piled for days, BUT we have fun which is way more important anyway, right?!
