Hey y'all! It's Rachel aka
the tattooed teacher. I am ecstatic about blogging with these ah-maz-ing ladies I consider friends! There is nothing that compares to support from awesome teachers!
So a little about me...though I am long winded, so it won't be a little!

I like to know what people look like, so here's me! |
I will begin my 11th year teaching this year! I cannot believe it! My first kiddos graduated two years ago! ah! This will be my fourth year teaching second grade. I began my career in 4th grade and was moved {against my will, mind you} to second grade in a mad shuffle at our school. I cried. a lot. every.day. But it only took about a week to fall head over heels in love with 7 year olds! I swear they are little sponges. Everything I do amazes them! A teacher's dream, right!?
I also love being in school! I have my Masters in Reading Ed {K-12...shhhh, don't tell the admin I'm certified up to 12th grade!} and I am National Board Certified in Middle Childhood. I am also state certified in AIG education. See, just like
Jen, I look real good on paper! I think we are long lost sister-teachers! I am a nerd!

my little cell tower of men! |
So on to why we blog...ideas and stuff! I am one of those weird people who love to do bulletin boards, making newsletters, and volunteer to make notices that the school sends home so I don't have to look at below standard stuff!
So here are the actual newsletters I use. I only use black and white so I can print and send home at school! They have a clean look and adorable clipart! I hope you can use them too! The text is completely editable in Powerpoint!
I am the last in the lineup of meet the authors, so starting in the am it's B2S time!! Be sure and check back every.single.day!!

Super cute! Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI love the templates!! Thank you!! Unfortunately, we have to translate everything because the majority of my student's parents are non-English speakers. Is there a way to edit some of the main components?
